Having trouble seeing videos on our site?

Here's help.

Our videos are made on a Macintosh computer using  iMovie, Quicktime, and other Mac programs.

They are added to our site using Adobe Contribute and are "standards based."

If you have a Mac, you should have everything you need.  You do need a high speed connection.

If you are using a PC using any Microsoft browser, you need to download some other

programs to see our videos as well as many others on the internet.  There are four video "platforms" for computers... Windows Media Player which

came with your PC, Quicktime, Realplayer, and Flash. Videos work better with Firefox browser, so start there.

First download Firefox, install it and use it as your main browser.
www.mozilla.com/firefox
The web page you get will give you the correct version of Firefox for your system. It can tell.

Second: download Quicktime and install it.
www.apple.com/quicktime
The web page you get will know you have a PC not a Mac and will give you the correct version.

Click on the button for "download."  It is usually on the left hand side.
Be sure to say "yes" to the browser plug in.  You do not need to "upgrade to pro."

Third: download Realplayer and install it.
www.real.com
Don't take the superpass. Just download and install the free player.  The site will give you the latest one for your system.

Download and install the flash player
www.adobe.com
Then click on "get flash player."
While you're there, you can pick up acrobat reader and shockwave player also.

All of the above are free. Depending on your connection speed, the above may take anywhere from 10 minutes to 30 minutes, but you'll end up with a system that will play any video from anywhere. If you have dialup and want to go high speed but can't get DSL or cable, we suggest Wildblue.com
